    glad you safely arrived!

Sorry, I did not get to let you we were in. It was too late to get on line and cell phones don’t work.

The house building went great. There were three teams and we all got our houses assembled, the inside mudded and the exterior board on. Tomorrow will finish the mudding inside and start stuccoing the outside.

It is very beautiful and the tar roads are very nice. The dirt roads are very rough. I took about an hour and a half to get to the village even though it was only 30 miles from the base. Moutains just get in the way.

The kids in the village were cute. It seems kids are very much the same no matter where you go.

    I miss you all.

    Love,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Wow, you had a very productive day! I’m glad that things are going well.

I bet it is beautiful there, especially with mountains, even if they do get in the way!!

One car fixed, and one to go at Steve’s Auto. Em’s car had very minor repairs. I think that he said only a nut and bolt!

Greg Masck bought a ticket for you to go to an event on the Sat. of the week you return. That’s what he was trying to call you about. I told him to go ahead and buy it. I knew that you’d want to go! =)

    Have a great day tomorrow!

    Hey,

    We are back it’s about 5 p.m.

Today we stuccoed all the houses and built awnings for a patio area in front of all four houses.

We had rice with carrots boiled black beans and tortias for lunch. It was very good. I am tired and ready for supper and a shower.

Craig, keys to the Fbird are under the drivers seat.

I will see if I can put some pictures up later tonight.

Tomorrow, we paint the inside walls, put the roof on and dedicate the homes to the families.

    Talk to you later.

    Hi Steve,

I let Craig know where the keys are. We looked everywhere but there!!! He might let you live another day!

I’m glad that you had another great day!

I met Sarah and Barb for supper tonight. It was good to see them. Sarah wanted another type of floor cleaner. A newer one on TV similar to a swifter that has pads and cleans/mops flooring like tile or wood.

    Have a great evening!

I hope you had another great day!

A few of us went over to Mary’s to hot tub after work. We had a nice relaxing time after a busy week! I bet you could use one right now!

Rory’s not feeling well tonight. She has a low grade fever. I hope she gets well soon.

Meg is gone for the weekend at her friend, Bree’s house.

Have a nice night! ILY, Deb

    Hi, all.

What a great day we had today. Up at 5 a.m. again but not on the road until 6:30 a.m. to allow extra time for prayer before we finish the houses and dedicate them to the families. I took until lunch to put the roofs and paint/decorate the inside of the four homes. Lunch was corn torrtias with either gucamole, ingorne the likely misspelling, or chicken salad and rice on the side. It was very good.
After lunch we dedicated the homes and all four families gave their life to Christ, praise God!

Sorry, to hear that Rory is not feeling well. I hope she feels better soon.

    I love you.

Hey STeve! Glad to hear you are experiencing many blessings!
brings back so many memories of when I went to haiti!
I remember all the kids would start out the day with clothes on but within a few hours one little boy would be running around naked again! He must have just not liked clothes! Also intrigued with us and everything we did, is it like that there too?

I hope, Rory was able to sleep most of the night.

This week is flying so fast and yet most of the time I can’t remember what day it is.

Today sorting meds and then to a medical clinic.

    Have a great weekend.

    I miss you all.

    Hi Steve,

Rory slept well until midnight and then was up until 2:30, but then she slept well until 8:30. She woke up with a temp of 101.5. She doesn’t seem to have any other symptoms, yet. She just went down for a nap at 10:30. She feels well enough to sign for cookies throughout the day though! LOL. She keeps asking for you! She hasn’t forgotten you. =) She will probably make her big happy screech when you walk in the door.

Craig just called from your Dad’s house. He had to get up early to let the people test drive the car. They asked him to watch their little children while they test drove the car! Craig said the kids were really cute and funny, but that it was a little weird that they left their kids with a total stranger! Anyway, Craig took good care of them.

I hope that you have another great day today and that everything goes well with the medical clinic.

    Love, Deb

    Hi Steve!

More pictures were posted today and you are in some! I’ll show them to the kids.

Poor little Lorelei has a temp of 103! I gave her some Mortin. She is eating some toast and drinking berry juice.

The cars are both done! Only 100 dollars for both repairs! Now I just need to get the window replaced in the jeep.

Speaking of cars, Craig and his friend were bowling and when they went to leave, they noticed that the window had been broken by someone. There wasn’t anything stolen from the vehicle though. Weird!

    Good Morning,

They let us sleep in this morning but I could not sleep past 6:50. A few people are up but not many.

I am sorry to hear Rory is not feeling better. I hope, this will pass quickly.

Re: Craig and the kids, it must be all that time he spends with Rory. Kids can sense those who like them.

We were up at 6:30, ate breakfast and then worked on sorting meds and putting them into the correct bins. I didn’t work on this but Terry, Greg, John and I filling small bags with 2-3 pounds of beans or 5-6 cups of mush, sort of like oatmeal. There must have been something funny in the dust from those beans and mush because we laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes.

We were on the road at 11:00 and to the village by about 1:30.

It was a great time with the medical clinic, playing with the kids and talking with the locals, some spoke pretty good English.

At the end of the night probably 30-40 people made a decision for Christ. God never ceases to amaze me with what he can do.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

    Love,

    Steve

Hey daddy. Sounds like you guys are having a great time. That is so amazing that so many people have given their life to God. You guys are doing such a great job spreading the word of God.

This weekend was pretty boring for me I had no hockey games to go 2. But brad probably wouldnt be playing anyway b/c he has a concussion. But he is doing good with that. haha I made him go see Dear John with me, the biggest chick flick out right now :]
I can’t wait to see you and hear all about your trip. I miss you and Love you. My horses miss you feeding them haha jk. :p
Have a great rest of your trip. And have a safe flight home. And txt me when you can at the airports.

    Hi Steve,

I’m glad that you had a good day and a good laugh! You’ll have to bring some of the beans home!!

Rory is still running a temp. She has been wanting to cuddle a lot!

I went to to see the movie, The Lovely Bones, with Patti. I’m glad that we didn’t let Megan see it. She is too young to see something that graphic and depressing.

Have a great day tomorrow! We look forward to seeing you on Tueday. Rory will be so pleased!

Today, is a free day and we will be going to a town to do some shopping.

We got to sleep in this morning but most of us were up by 7.

I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow?

Well we had a fun day shopping in Antigua. Of course I only bought things for myself, just kidding. It is a touristy town with a lot of shops where bartering is the name of the game.

Up around 3:30 a.m. tomorrow to make it to the airport by 4:30 a.m. We will be there early but if you leave later you will be late.

    See you tomorrow.
